Description
Sunset Captiva is one of the most popular vacation spots in Captiva Island, Florida. Sunset Captiva 17 is a perfect choice for your upcoming Captiva Island Vacation. Our vacation rental home has recently been completely updated with new paint, furniture, bedding and more. The spacious living area has a nice and open feel with an a nearby dining area and full kitchen. There are sliding doors leading to the expansive screened lanai. The main level of our home has a half bathroom as well. Up the stairs is the master bedroom suite with a very comfortable king sized bed, en-suite bathroom and sun deck. The second level also features a guest bedroom with an all new king sized bed, en-suite full bathroom and a small alcove in between the bedrooms with a bunk bed for additional guests. Sunset Captiva community features great amenities including a large heated pool, bbq grills, tennis courts, direct beach access and even boat dockage (fee applies). With it's Village Area location you can also park at the home and walk to the beach as well as nearby shops and restaurants.

We loved watching the sunrise, manatees and dolphins at the harbor. It was a great way to start each day on our morning walk. The heated pool was great and it was very clean! The beach was gorgeous and weve never seen so many seashells! It adds to the character of Sunset Captiva! We enjoyed grilling and having dinner on the screen porch. It allowed us to enjoy the sunsets each evening We enjoyed our morning adventures driving into Sanibel and taking in the beauty of the islands! Sunset Captiva is a great place to relax, unwind and be thankful for the chance to enjoy the beauty of the island and this home!

The house is ideally situated just steps from the beach and the sound. We sat on the boat docks and watched the sunrise and manatees, and we walked the beach for beautiful sunsets. It was only a five minute walk to restaurants, but the neighborhood is very quiet without much traffic. Our family of five had plenty of space to spread out, and the outdoor shower is a lifesaver with three very sandy kids headed home from the beach! The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals at home and met our needs. I would recommend grabbing groceries at the Walmart in Fort Myers before crossing the causeway since island prices are outrageous. I would recommend for families with young kids!

Sunset Captiva #17 is a beautiful place to spend a family vacation. The screened in lanai was a favorite place for the family. It had plenty of comfortable seating. The property is open and nicely decorated throughout. Short distance to the ocean and the center of Captiva Island. Sunset Captiva is its own little piece of paradise.

Unit interior (furniture and kitchen equipment well stocked) just as we expected, location on the beach far exceeded our expectations!!! So easy to get to the beach, with chairs provided. Pool even closer and we used a few times, the community gas grills were very nice and within a 30 step walk from the units back stairs.
