We believe every day on Captiva is something to celebrate and we've furnished the Palm & Shell with that philosophy in mind. Our huge chef’s kitchen and dining area are appointed with every convenience for dining in, carrying out and everything in between. Our spacious and comfortable living room offers plenty of gathering space and family-friendly amenities, including a smart TV, DVD collection, high-speed Wifi,  large reading library and card and board games.

The soaring, screened atrium, lanai and pool bar will surely be a favorite gathering spot for relaxing, grilling, and chilling. Enjoy our large, heated pool and hot tub, day and night.

Our private beach path is just steps from Captiva’s famed South Seas beach. We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, a beach cart, beach toys and everything else you’ll need. All you have to worry about is enjoying yourself!

The Palm & Shell has 5 luxurious bedrooms and sleeps up to 12. And while the home doesn't include resort amenity access, you won't want to leave except to enjoy some of the many nearby restaurants, shops and island attractions. You can even rent a golf cart to get around quickly and easily.

About Our Home

Our Kitchen

Our gourmet chef’s kitchen is the heart of our home. It has been lovingly stocked with everything you'll need for cooking in or carrying out, including meal prep, cooking, baking, serving, storing entertaining and enjoying, including:

• A Keurig and a standard 10-cup drip coffee maker
• Small appliances, including a blender, food processor, juicer and crock pot
• A full set of high-quality anodized cookware
• Pyrex and non-stick bake ware including cake pans, cupcake pans and more
• A full range of mixing bowls, pots, pans, bake ware, storage containers, and more.
• A salad spinner and salad mixing bowl
• A cake stand
• Large bowls and serving pieces

Dining and Entertaining at the Palm & Shell

We believe that every day in Captiva is something to celebrate! We've furnished our home with that philosophy in mind.

Our home comes with all of items needed for your daily dining, entertaining and enjoying needs, including:

• Drinking glasses, cups and mugs
• Cocktail and wine glasses
• Serving bowls and platters
• Flatware and serving pieces
• Wooden Tray

• Our large, inside dining room table seats 10 comfortably, with a second satellite table that seats 4.
• Our poolside dining table seats 8, with plenty of room to pull up additional chairs.

Our Living Room/Family Room

Vacation time = family time and our spacious and comfortable living room features plenty of lounging and gathering space designed for just that. We've furnished it with family time in mind--knowing how special this time together can be. Our living room includes:

• 2 large couches
• 2 comfortable chairs
• A flat panel TV with surround sound for movie nights
• Cable
• a DVD player
• Smart TV functionality so you can stream from your personal accounts and services, if desired
• A large, reading library for your enjoyment, including fiction, non-fiction and a selection of Sanibel and Captiva books
• A selection of our favorite family card games and board games
• High-speed internet and Wifi

Pool

Our pool is definitely the jewel in the Palm and Shell's crown. The soaring, screened atrium area, surrounded in lush palm trees, gives it a resort feel. It will surely be a favorite gathering spot for your family, as it is for ours.

• Our large, heated pool features deep and shallow ends and ample ledge seating.
• Relax and unwind in the attached whirlpool spa hot tub.
• Read, nap and unwind in  our outdoor lounge area
• Enjoy the luxurious chaise lounges around the pool deck
• Gather at our large outdoor dining table for meals, drinks, games and more.
• Enjoy the convenience of our lower level full bath—just off of the lanai!
• Evening pool lighting
• Our pool closet has a variety of floats, tubes, noodles, games and pool toys (for kids of all ages) for your use and enjoyment in our pool area only.
• Our pool bar offers a great place to serve drinks and meals, featuring ample counter space, a sink and a mini fridge.

Beach

At the Palm and Shell, you are just steps away from the pristine sands of Captiva's famed South Seas beach. 

Our private beach path makes quick trips to the beach a breeze--from morning runs to impromptu shelling walks, and from long, lazy days at the beach to viewing the nightly sunset.

Look for pods of frolicking dolphin, they are regular visitors in our waters!

We provide everything you need to make every day a day at the beach, including:

The Palm Suite

Our Master Bedroom is large, open and airy---inspired by the palm trees you will see all around you.

Enjoy sea breezes and Captiva sunshine by day and stargazing and crashing waves by night from  your own private master bedroom balcony, featuring comfortable seating.
